"Learning takes place when there is a desire to know, an environment that is conducive for the learning to take place, and ownership to the learning. This is what we desire for our classroom."

Mrs. Jensen's class keeps busy in the morning with their Montessori works that are located all around the class room .

The girls are discovering different land formation by creating them with sand and water.

Sometimes we serve others by helping them, which reinforces the skill already possessed by one, but makes learning fun. The girls below learn to count by fives using the hundred board and touching each number as it is said.

Let’s read and write! In the pictures below, the girls are working on a story. They need not stop because the clock says, so they continue to write to their hearts content. The boys are reading a Magic Tree House book together. The only thing better than reading a good book, is to share one with a friend.

Mrs Jensen's class made their own Roman Signums.
They learned about this in their history study. The Romans used their Signums in battle, and also as a symbol of honor.
